I’m fairly new to the hardware side of things, so I’m sorry for the noob question. I’m assuming that we need to reinstall the clear sticker or electrical tape over the programming pads on the Blanks before reinstalling the battery? I just got my dev kit today and don’t want to short anything out before I have a chance to screw it up in software.

There is no technical reason to cover the pads. You shouldn’t run into any trouble leaving them exposed.
